Childhood First is a charity with a long and successful history of providing integrated programmes of care, education and treatment for traumatised children and young people with complex emotional and psychological needs. Merrywood House, Honingham, Norfolk is a specialist residential children’s home providing a programme of care, treatment and education for up to 6 children aged between 10 to 18 years.
Childhood First is a teaching organisation; we encourage and facilitate the learning of our team by offering opportunities to undertake further psychotherapeutic and management training, leading to a range of academic and professional qualifications.
- £7.80 per hour
- Ten x 12 hour shifts per month (Average).
With the support of the therapeutic staff, the waking night staff ensure the safe keeping and general well being of the children’s group throughout the night. When the children are asleep, waking night staff undertake tasks to help in the running of the house, such as tidying and cleaning and any other duties that may be required.
Candidates should have knowledge of basic child care but experience in a similar post is not essential as induction and foundation training is provided, along with professional supervision. We can also consider flexibility of the shift pattern.
